Gray was selected to build an addition to an existing operating facility for Toyota Tsusho on the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas (TMMTX) campus.

The project required the installation of two new blanking lines (blanking press, uncoiler, wash, and maintenance) and a scrap conveyor tunnel. One of these blanking lines was required to be installed within the existing facility during existing operations. Gray built a 60’ tall temporary partition to separate the existing facility from the installation.

 

In addition, Gray was required to meet TMMTX’s project labor agreement, safety requirements, and environmental requirements. This project was a part of the group-up construction of TMMTX’s new Tundra plant as well as the on-campus supplier projects, which included the construction of 21 supplier plants, including the main plant simultaneously.
