Experience Siemens’ new 460,000 s.f. Gas Turbine manufacturing plant and office complex, both Gray projects, first hand in this video.
The expansion is being constructed on the campus of Siemens’ existing Steam Turbine and Generator Service Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is the largest project under construction for Siemens worldwide at this time and the largest project in Charlotte in 30 years. Siemens is aiming for LEED Certification by incorporating elements of sustainable construction and strategies to reduce environmental impact.

Currently, the Siemens Energy Charlotte facility manufactures and services steam turbines and generators. With the expansion underway, the site will soon manufacture and service gas turbines as well. Production will begin in late fall 2011 and will add over 800 new jobs. The new expanded facility will be fully operational in summer 2012.
