Today marked a very special day for Enjoy Life Foods as the company celebrated the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art bakery in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The 200,000 s.f. bakery is the largest dedicated allergy-friendly bakery in North America.
Providing design-build services, Gray Construction took the shell of an existing building and completely transformed it into a world-class bakery in just four months. The bakery’s Indiana location allows expedited access to product from Enjoy Life Foods’ suppliers, as well as retailers throughout the southern and western markets.
Acquired by Mondelēz International, Enjoy Life Foods is the leading brand in the growing allergen-friendly market in the United States. The Jeffersonville bakery allows the brand to more than double its production capacity and install more efficient lines to meet growing demand for its products.
In addition to featuring a ribbon cutting ceremony, the event invited attendees to tour the bakery which will produce foods for kids and adults with allergies around the world.
Enjoy Life Foods offers more than 50 different allergy-friendly products, including cookies, snack bars, seed and fruit mixes, baking chocolate, chocolate bars and snack chips. Enjoy Life Foods’ products contain no gluten, artificial ingredients, trans fats or GMOs, and are made in a dedicated nut-free and certified gluten-free facility.
