Named one of ENR’s Top Young Professionals and to BD+C’s 40 Under 40 Class, senior vice president of Business Development Marcus Taylor is an experienced leader with a robust background in construction engineering and relationship building.
In his current role, Marcus implements and adheres to the strategic sales plan to achieve corporate goals and provides business development plans for the Manufacturing market. Within his position, he also delivers sales presentations to key customers and meets with customer to maintain, negotiate, and close deals, as well as serves as a liaison between the sales department and business units.
Marcus started at Gray in 2006 after graduating from the Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Construction Management. Over the years, Marcus has put a strong emphasis on cultivating his professional relationships with new and existing customers, industry representatives, and economic development representatives. Marcus has worked with some of the largest international-based firms in expanding their operations to the U.S. Some of his signature wins include fiberglass manufacturing plants for Owens Corning and Jushi USA, integrated paper production facilities for Sofidel America Corp., and a plastic injection molding plant for IRIS USA.
He is a great example of Gray’s core values – treating others how he would want to be treated, putting safety and quality of life first, and being relationship-driven.
When he’s not working, Marcus enjoys golfing, fitness, cooking, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
