Goode
Brett began his career as an intern with Gray in 1997 with the company’s first class of interns. Upon his graduating from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, he joined Gray full-time as a field engineer on the Gap jobsite in Gallatin, TN.
During his career, Brett has risen through the ranks of the company through his technical skills, tenacity, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with people. His roles have included project manager, senior project manager, project director, regional manager, vice president, and senior vice president – truly gaining a robust and in-depth understanding of project processes and the Gray way of business.
In 2017, Brett was named a distinguished alumni by his alma mater for his leadership and achievements in construction management. Today, he also serves on the college’s board of directors.
In his current role as executive vice president, food & beverage market, Brett serves customers and project teams across the leading market to set the vision, nurture relationships, and maintain Gray’s reputation as the No. 1 firm in food & beverage. His contributions have been instrumental in many food & beverage projects over the years, including Prestage Farms, Häns Kissle, Publix, American Foods Group, and Instinct Pet Food.
Brett brings a deep understanding of the marketplace and a network of relationships that help Gray fulfill our purpose: to make a positive difference in people’s lives and build a better future.
When he’s not working, Brett enjoys spending time with his wife, three kids, and two dogs. He also devotes much of his time to the National Kidney Foundation, and his life-long passion, aviation.
