Cox

Colby Cox joined Gray in 2023 as Chief Legal Officer. With a civil engineering degree from Oklahoma State University and a Doctor of Law from University of Kansas School of Law, Colby has extensive experience in the construction industry. He worked previously as project manager for a large energy company and later at a law firm representing owners, general contractors, designers, and subcontractors within the industry. Prior to joining Gray, he also served as in-house counsel for multiple construction companies.

In this role, Colby is responsible for the strategy, management, and disposition of all project-related legal matters, while also working with Gray leadership to find viable legal and operational business solutions for the Gray family of brands. Colby provides oversight and leadership of the legal and risk management departments.

With a love for problem solving, Colby hopes to help project teams work through challenging legal and risk issues so they can focus on what they do best: creating amazing projects that will build a better future.

When he’s not working or coaching his son’s sporting events, Colby enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and hiking. Passionate about adoption, Colby and his wife have three adopted sons and two adopted rescue dogs.
